New Year on Royal festivities will see skies over Launceston light up in a sea of colour.  The Festivale Committee presents a spectacular night of New Year’s Eve fireworks, entertainment, food, beer and wine at Royal Park in Launceston.

Fireworks: New Year on Royal celebrations in Launceston Tasmania

Celebrations will kick off from 5.30pm on the main stage with an event line-up of top local acts including Heloise, Screech Mama, the Fabulous Picasso Brothers and Up Late.  Tribute bands include Hotel California, an Eagles tribute and a tribute to the Beach Boys.


 

There will be plenty of free activities for children in Kids Kingdom between 5.30pm and 9.00pm including…

  • Dinosaur Bouncing Castle
  • Slide
  • Face Painting
  • Mechanical Bull-ride
  • Playgroup Equipment
  • Balloon Twister
  • Dab Dab Tattoos

Patrons are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy at New Year on Royal Park.

New Year on Royal - Boardwalk to Seaport Launceston

Make your way to New Year on Royal Park from Seaport via the boardwalk

Fireworks will light up the night sky at 9.30pm and midnight.  Gates open from 5.30pm-12.15am.  The event will be ticketed and licensed.

New Year on Royal Ticket Sales

Tickets for the New Year on Royal celebrations are now on sale from the Launceston Travel and Information Centre (phone 1800 651 827) or available at the gate on December 31st.

  • Adult (18+) – $15
  • Junior (12 – 17 years) – $7
  • Under 12 (when accompanied by an adult) – Free
  • Family (2 adults and up to 3 juniors) – $35 (pre-sale price only)
  • Family (2 adults and up to 3 juniors) – $40 (at the gate)

Please Note:

  • Carer concession cards accepted
  • No concession for students or pensioners
  • Smoke Free (Please note there will not be a smoking area at the venue)
  • Bag searches at the gates
  • No BYO alcohol
  • Tickets non-refundable
  • Lock out at 11.15pm
