John Wright: an Article About Hobart

Article About Hobart… UK Travel Magazine

John Wright wrote an article about Hobart for a UK travel magazine.   He got in touch with Think Tasmania regarding a photo taken and published by us of the Salamanca Market.  John is a freelance writer and he had to submit photos with his text.  We were flattered he chose ours, but there were no guarantees that the magazine would publish the article, let alone our photo.

But we’re happy to say the magazine did publish both John’s article about Hobart and our photo with it.  They gave us a tiny little credit, which is the right thing to do when you use someone’s image, even when you have their permission.  If you have a magnifying glass, look to the left-hand-side of the page and you can see the acknowledgement.  Just!!

Anyway, the travel magazine including the article about Hobart by John Wright was released in the UK last week.  We think it’s a terrific piece, and we thought you might like to see it also.

Your site and news gets better and better every time I receive a newsletter. The topics are so diverse and the photography superb. I am amazed at the number of Tasmanians, including new Tasmanians, who wish to share their knowledge with everyone. It is very generous of them. All the best.
