Art Galleries: in Tasmania, Everywhere!

Art Galleries to the North…

Art Galleries in Tasmania… which one to choose?  Recently I spoke with Anne, the owner of Bowerbank Mill, a bed and breakfast property at Deloraine.  She told me about the Fine Art & Craft Gallery she operates as part of her heritage B&B, and how busy she expects to be over the period coinciding with the Tasmanian Craft Fair.

The event is held in Deloraine during October each year and attracts over 200 exhibitors.  It is claimed by the organisers, the Rotary Club, to be the largest working craft display in Australia.  Largest or not, all profits raised go to community projects and it’s a fantastic boost to the tourist numbers in the north of Tasmania.

We’re looking forward to visiting the Tasmanian Craft Fair and will obviously report back via Think Tasmania on our findings.

Gee thanks…

Your site and news gets better and better every time I receive a newsletter. The topics are so diverse and the photography superb. I am amazed at the number of Tasmanians, including new Tasmanians, who wish to share their knowledge with everyone. It is very generous of them. All the best.
